
Katie Zimmerman
Executive Assistant & Operations Manager
Katie Zimmerman is a table setter who specializes in creative problem solving, operations, and facilitation of transformational experiences. Her work often takes the shape of constructing foundations, refining infrastructure, and envisioning scaffolding so that successful teams can be built and thrive in their movement, social justice, and Spirit-based work.
With a degree in International Relations from Ithaca College, Katie has spent time in the Middle East studying gender inclusivity and the Dominican Republic immersed in grassroots social movements and community organizing. Her early professional experiences include labor union and immigration organizing in Phoenix, Arizona, running voter registration campaigns, and time in marketing and advertising with Sojourners. She is a graduate of the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation’s Leading Contemplative Prayer Groups and Retreats program.
Currently, Katie serves as a Board Member and the Communications Committee Chair for the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation, volunteers with the N Street Village, and is enrolled in an MBA program with University of the People.
