Homestead Apprenticeships


     Freedom Road provides apprenticeship training covering all basic skills necessary for successful homesteading.  These programs are tailored to the individual students  based upon prior training, experience, objectives and individual goals.

     Subject areas include the following and are offered based upon the apprentice educational objectives:

Woodworking and construction both basic and advanced
Welding
Plumbing
Electrical systems and instellation
Fence Building
Woodlot management
Animal husbandry
Intensive grazing and pasture management
Raw materials economics
Gardening and crop management
Food preservation and storage
Home butchering
Alternative Energy Options
Equipment maintenance and repair
Hunting, trapping and weapons maintenance

     Just let us know what it is you desire to learn and we will make it happen.  We have accomodations here at the farm for you and our fees are $100.00 per day which includes food and lodging while you are here.
